Just had a hot shower and I'm feeling good now because of the completion of 2 exams...
It was a long day..
Woke up early in the morning at 7am, stepped out of the apartment at 8:15am and headed straight to AUT business school to check the venue for my first paper.. Saw the venue but have no idea where it is, luckily I saw one of my classmates, so we walked to the place together.
9am, the start of my first paper.. I was kind of surprise when I stepped into the 'examination hall' or rather lecture theatre..
Was expecting to see rows of tables and chairs, but found myself inside a small LT. Alternate seats were occupied and the duration of the paper was 3hrs10mins...
For all the exams here, we're given 10 minutes prior to the start of the paper to read through the questions...
The first paper ended at 12:10pm and shortly my second paper began at 2pm..
This time round, the examination is held in a classroom at one of AUT buildings. The room has big glass windows which provide a great view of the Queen Street below.
It was another 3hrs10mins paper... Mentally exhausted by the time I stepped out of the building at 5:10pm...
Left with one last paper on Friday and I'll be free like a bird.. haa... That paper is gonna be 3hrs10mins as well! I found myself having more than enough time to finish the papers due to such long duration... Perhaps i'm already trained to work fast given the insufficient amount of time during exams back in ntu... Must be! Haha..

- What keeps you going during exam periods?
F-O-O-D!!
Hahaa.. I am feeling very bloated right now, happy as well!
WSA has catered free dinner for us! Yes, free food again! This time round, there were loads more variety... I came back from school today and saw the noticeboard informing us that there will be free BBQ tonight... Twin, fang and i thought it will be the same as last time, burger, cheese, bacon and beef (which to us, is good enough)...
But, nope, we were surprised to find out that they actually catered some good food from outside....

Buffet style!! Bread, salad, potatoes, eggs, pasta, meats of all kind (chicken, beef, pork, duck)
This, to me, is considered sumptuous.... Twin, fang and i are all very "shui bian" when it comes to cooking, so we will never get to see our plate filled with more than 3 different types of food unless we eat out....

- Will be having my first paper, or rather first 2 papers, on the 30 Oct..
One is advanced auditing and the other is strategic management...
For advanced auditing, we are allowed to bring the Auditing Standards into the examination hall. However, there can only be highlighting, no notes, no tabs.. If words are found inside the book, then it will be confiscated...They used to allow tabs for easy reference, however, some students were found writing notes on those small little tabs! So in the end, students have to make do without them...
For strategic management, we are already given the case study and questions will be based on the case..We are allowed to write notes on the case study itself, but no extra material is allowed into the examination hall... That means I have to better make use of the limited space to write as much as I can!
Oh, and I found out that we won't be able to know the venue of our examinations until the day itself.. We are supposed to go to the business school early to check the noticeboard and see where the venue is... I'm just hoping I can find my way there without any problem..

- 11 October (Wednesday)
The delayed birthday pictures are up! October 11 was Fang's 21st birthday! And October 12 was Wendy's 21st birthday! We went to this Turkish Restaurant called Mezze Bar along Queen Street for dinner to celebrate their BIG day... It was Terry's recommendation...
Before the dinner, at midnight, twin and i managed to give Fang a surprise! I'm so glad that she had no idea of what we had planned for her, cause we really wanted to make her 21st bday memorable... After all, she's away from her families and close friends and the least that twin and i could do is to make her feel heart-warming and loved! Knowing that this lady loves coffee, we bought starbucks coffee as part of our 'plot'.... haha...

Lights all switched off, curtains all drawn down, corridor filled with balloons with just one small light bulb shining the way through... The plot is done.. After which, twin knocked on Fang's door and ran to my room...
When Fang opened her door, this is what she saw... twin's laptop on a chair directing her to the living room.... Once twin and i knew she was on her way there, we stepped out of my room with the 'cake' and candles and surprised her from behind...
Make a wish and blow the candles!!! The smile on her face just make me feel that everything we prepared was worthwhile... Huggies Fang!

Ice-blended Mocha from Starbucks and Yummilicious donuts from Dunkin Donuts!!The 3 of us have always wanted to try Dunkin Donuts because we don't find it in S'pore, so twin and i decided to choose donuts over cake for the surprise since later on at night there'll be cake for dinner....

So many choices! No wonder we stood there for quite some time deciding what to order...
Fish dish, Roasted chicken drums with spicy peanut sauce, roasted potatoes with sauce
Fresh prawns on crispy migas (croutons), Roasted chicken on a spinach & red pepper risotto with citrus dressing topped with parmesan cheese, Spanish meatballs and migas in tomato sherry salsa!

After quite some time, Alex Finally arrived with the Birthday cake! Surprise ladies...=)
