In the midst of my 2 weeks mid-semester break now. Was busy with my assignments for the past few days, hence didn't have the time to blog..
Over the last weekend, went to the northern tip of North Island! That place is beautiful~
Will blog about the trip soon... =)
Although I still have to continue my assignments, I want to blog about the pleasant surprise that I received today!
Saw a parcel when fang, twin and I came back from our grocery shopping this evening...
It was from Louis, my secondary school friend!
Louis, if you read this, thank you once again for the parcel!! You definitely made my day!
Seriously, he is one of the most thoughtful guys that I have come across... Knowing that Mooncake Festival is around the corner, that guy actually delivered Mooncakes to twin and I!!!
We savoured the mooncakes immediately.. OMG, they tasted so wonderful!!
He even included tea leaves inside the parcel .... Can't believe he went into such little details! Mooncakes with tea, what better combination than that can you get?
And the tea tasted really really really delicious! It smells so good even before we drank it!
The feeling of receiving something from Singapore is simply awesome!
The pleasant surprise from Louis!!!
Bengawan solo mooncakes, a small packet with tea leaves inside and a sweet letter from Louis...
Fang's snoopy cup and my blue cup filled with hot nice tea, plus the 2 different mooncakes...We listened to s'pore songs while eating...It definitely felt so much at home...

Back from the 4-days ski trip!
I almost completely forgotten how to ski but the 2 days of skiing have definitely made me better in this sport...
Though it's fun, i doubt i'll do that often because skiing is such an expensive sport!
Day 1
We saw a lot a lot a lot of sheeps and cows along the journey...
Mt Ruapehu...Beautiful sight..
After 5 hrs of drive from Auckland city, we finally arrived at Ossies, the place where we will be staying for the next 3 days...
Hut-shaped house
The fireplace that kept the whole house warm...
After dinner playing session..They even have chips for betting..
We didn't have waterproof pants so at 8:30pm, we went to this storeroom owned by the owners of the chalet to rent one...
Day 2
Setting off to Whakapapa which is located on the north-western slopes of Mt Ruapehu and is New Zealand's largest developed ski area..
The place where we got our gears..
Taking the cable ride down to Happy Valley...
Happy Valley! It's a complete learner's area that is separate to the main ski area so beginners can progress in a safe environment..It's also there where we had our 2hrs skiing lesson..
Me and Owen, our ski instructor..Take a look at his face..The goggle mark is so obvious!
Fang skiing down the slope, looking pro! haa...
Day 3
Arriving at Turoa, the highest ski area in New Zealand...
Snowball fight~
Us with our snowman!!
Twin and i...
Snowboarding is preferred over skiing for most guys because they think one looks better during snowboarding...lolz..
We saw ppl trying out Tobogganing...
In the midst of deciding what to do next..The weather wasn't good at Turoa..Some suggested going spa, some suggested going back to Whakapapa...In the end, we decided to head back to Whakapapa!
Arriving at Whakapapa once again...
Jia yu and i...
