Tuesday (29 Aug)
Twin's two weeks mid-semester break starts this week! Mine will be here real soon...
Fang, Carol, Daryl and Chee Chuan set off their journey to explore North Island on Sunday (27 Aug) morning...
Twin, Jiayu, Wendy and myself will be travelling to a few places next week..
We didn't travel as a group because of a few reasons.. The guys wanted to rent a car and drive, but twin and i promised mummy we won't do that because she'll be very worried..
So we'll be joining "Kiwi Experience" - a free and easy tour package specially suited for backpackers...
Anyway, since Tuesday and Thursday have always been my free day, twin and i decided to go out on Tuesday..
We went to Auckland Museum and New Market.
We cut through Auckland Domain and went to the Winter Garden first...
Both twin and i had the same feeling after exploring Winter Garden - We felt that the place resembles the flower garden in Melbourne...
Shortly, after arriving at the Auckland Museum, i felt that the place resembles the British Museum in London.. Lolx
We then continued our journey down to New Market..
The place gave us a very different feeling as compared to Parnel Road or Queen Street.
We soon came to a conclusion - New Market is like Orchard Road in S'pore, Queen Street is more like City Hall. As for Parnel Road, Holland Village maybe?
Domain Walks - We took the Centennial Walkway to the Auckland Museum
Pond with ducks...
A few more steps to the "Winter Garden"
Inside the "Cool House"
Pansy Carmel Blotch Yellow and Velvet Blue..
A fountain in the middle separating the cool house from the tropical house...
Inside the "Fernery"
Inside the "Tropical House"... Felt sooo good, because of the warm temperature inside... suddenly, twin and i felt that we are back in s'pore... =)
Pretty for the eyes, but definitely not easy to maintain...
Auckland Museum... Compare this with......
....British Museum... See some similarities?

Didn't really go anywhere for this weekend... stayed indoor to complete one of my assignments which is due this coming friday...
Saturday (or yesterday) morning, went out with twin to buy something and we passed by Albert Park.. see pictures below...
Friday night, we went over to Jiayu, Carol, Chee Chuan and Daryl's place for dinner... They invited the Koreans too... Each of us prepared a dish and the main purpose for the gathering was to celebrate Daryl's bday...
Friday 25 Aug
The Koreans made this dish which consist of rice cake, cabbage, carrot, noodle and spicy Korean sauce...
Daryl's famous Lasagna...
Fang, twin and i prepared fried bee hoon and steam egg (which is not in the picture)
6 S'porean ladies, 4 Korean ladies....
Daryl with the strawberry cheese cake we bought for him...there was english, chinese and korean versions of Happy Bday songs!
Saturday 26 Aug - Albert Park
A small and cute water cooler..
David (in green) offered to take a picture for twin and i when he saw us using the timer to take ourselves..The one in black is Don, they are both from Korea..it's pretty amazing how friendship can develop just like tt, we chatted for quite while and exchanged msn...
The fountain in the middle of the park...i like the light blue colour water...
Not sure what's the flowers on the tree call..but it gives me the feeling of Sakura flowers...
There are lots of pretty flowers there...This picture didn't really capture the whole beautiful sight..nevertheless,maybe jun will like the purple flowers? haha...

I'm trying really really hard.....
But no matter how hard i try, i can't seem to suppress the heartache whenever i think of you....
Right now, i just feel so distant from you....
11 hrs, almost 12 hrs....
I'll have to say good morning to you when I'm about to sleep, say goodnight when I'm about to start my day....
It's getting more and more difficult for me to get to talk to you....
I have to start counting down all over again... 1 yr?
Can i choose not to think of you? No, i can't...

Fishing trip
Went for fishing trip today.. Woke up early early in the morning, at 4:50am because we had to reach Westhaven Port by 6:40am..
It felt really good walking the streets early in the morning.. Cold yet refreshing...
The trip was another enjoyable one.. Caught one small fish and one big one! We were able to take home our catch for the day, but only the big ones, because the small ones have to be put back into the sea for some reproduction reason according to the law here...
I used to go fishing back in sec sch days.. But fishing on a boat is my first time... The weather was really good... It was relaxing to fish and enjoy the scenery.. We played games, sing songs and chatted during the journey..
However, I got a bit seasick during the middle because the boat was swaying non-stop.. Had some rest and felt better... The sea water was really cold and the captain was telling us not to fall into the sea as we will turn into ice blocks within 10mintues.. haa..
Alex and i at the meeting point - Westhaven port..
